This minor adaptations service is aimed at allowing
people to leave hospital as soon as their treatment
is completed or preventing them from being admitted
in the first place. Referrals
to this scheme can only be made by an Occupational
Therapist or Physiotherapist.

Work
that can be done :

Internal stair rails / banister rails and ‘mopstick’
rails

Newel rails for newel posts or turns on stairs
-
Grab rails at one access door to the property

Grab rails and drop-down rails for toileting
-
Fixing of free standing toilet frame (FSTF) to
floor.

Grab rails for inside the property

Securing of loose carpets
-
Levelling of thresholds between rooms
-
Moving furniture for downstairs living or to accommodate
hospital bed or equipment.

Fitting of one extra double socket

Raising level of existing plug sockets
